Why taking the training of Adult Mental Health First Aid?
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. The training helps you identify, understand and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses.
It is a stigma busting of Mental Health training for people who serve general public, whose work have direct communication with the general public, and who interact with general public on a daily basis knowing how to connect and support a person with crisis and mental health experience in our diverse communities without increasing the chance of harm and violent threat when serving.
It can be provided in two format of an 8hrs in one full day on site setting OR virtually via zoom.
Class size: 12 people minimum up to 20 people max in a class either In-Person Or Virtual setting
Cost: $168 per individual for either Adult Mental Health First Aid or Youth Mental Health First Aid
Class locations provide free on-site parking, public transportation accessible by bus, safe environment in community setting with disabled bathroom available, class room size can fit wheelchairs and walkers in a conference room setting in the Bay Area.
